The ‘Halo & Joy’ label was created in 2004. I began tie dyeing in 2003, and instantly knew I had discovered my passion. I love colour and am constantly amazed by the joy it brings to children and adults alike. I began dyeing clothing and banners and sold them at different markets, especially catering to the rave scene at St Kilda Festival and Earthcore.

I use high quality dyes, which are vibrant and colourfast. The process can sometimes be difficult and time consuming, but is an ultimately rewarding form of artistic expression. Each tie dyer has an individual technique and I strive to constantly improve and perfect mine.

Your tie dyed item will run the first few times it is washed, just like any colourful item, but the colour will remain vibrant unless it is placed for prolonged periods in the sun.

Most items can be mashine washed, but a gentle cycle is recommended. Any rayon item or item with applique is best hand washed.
